Hi everyone, this is my first try to make Mini pizzas at home and it worked out so great.The crust had a crispy bottom, soft and fluffy in texture. I added beef, mozzarella cheese, onion and green bell peppers for toppings. You can get inspired with plenty of creative topping ideas, including different meats, vegetables, cheeses of your choice. Try this and let me know how it turns out.
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1½ tsp of yeast
- 2tsp of olive oil
- 1 cup of warm water
- Tomato paste
- Chopped onions
- Chopped tomatoes (3 medium tomatoes)
- Chopped garlic
- 2tsps of oil
- ½ tsp powdered ginger and garlic
- ½ tsp Black pepper
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½tsp Sugar
- ⅓kg of meat (Beef)
- 2 tsp of oil
- 2 bonnet pepper
- Onions
- Chopped Ginger and garlic
- Curry and thyme
- Black pepper
- Spring onions
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Green pepper
- Onions
- Minced meat sauce
- In a big bowl add flour, sugar, salt, active yeast and olive oil mix well then add in a cup of warm water and mix well to form a dough.
- Kneed the dough for 4-5mins.
- Place it back in a bowl cover with damp kitchen towel for an hour, until it double it’s size.
- Cut meat into small chunks
- Add 2 bonnet pepper, chopped onions, chopped ginger and garlic put it on a blender or food processor.
- When you’re done add 2 seasoning cubes, curry & thyme and black pepper mix with the minced meat until it’s well combined.
- In a pan add 2 tsps of oil (medium heat).
- Add minced meat cook for 15-20mins until it tender and there’s no trace of water left in the pan the set aside.
- In a pan add, 2 tsps of oil.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan and add chopped onions, tomatoes and minced garlic allow to fry for about 3mins.
- Add garlic (powdered), black pepper, sugar, salt, ¼cup of water and 1tsp of tomato paste then stir well
- Cook on low heat for 5mins.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Take out the dough from the bowl.
- punch down the dough to remove the trapped air (after 1 hour dough would have doubled in size).
- Add flour on a flat surface and kneed for 2-3mins.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough and cup out round shape with a cutter.
- Transfer them into a baking tray, cover it with a kitchen towel then leave it to rest for 5mins before adding toppings.
- After 5 minutes, use your fingers to push from the centre, then onwards, while maintaining the circular shape.
- Add pizza sauce to the middle then minced Meat sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, green bell pepper, onions and add more mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 10-15mins.
Done!!!
Tips: These little bites make a good snack to keep in the freezer, then reheat in a microwave. Use active yeast in order to get a good result. Do not use Yeast that has been exposed.
