Knead until the dough is slightly sticky and smooth. In another bowl (grease the bowl using little oil or butter)  cover with cling film of a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30-40 minutes (until it doubles its size)

Punch the dough down

Divide the dough into 8 -10 equal portions then  shape the dough pieces into small balls ( place them with the closure downward),Or roll out the dough then use a round shaped cutter to cut out the dough,Ensure you keep distance between them on a baking tray.

Put enough oil in a large pan

Put the raised dough pieces in the hot oil and fry for 3 minutes per side, fry until it’s color is slightly golden (On medium heat).

For the coating: once the donuts are fried, drain excess oil before coating. Dust with a little granulated sugar, donuts should be a little warm when sugar is put on it so that the sugar stays put on the donuts.
